Fix Jade Quarry
Most cartographers start ripping their hair out when they finally get to the last ~5% of Cantha, then realizing they have to do Jade Quarry. This poor little outpost barely even has 1-2 people in it at most usually. Most people prefer Fa, first off because theres always people there, but mostly because its funner. Now, if JQ wasn't so terrible, or gave better rewards than fa, more people would go there. Explorer is supposed to be a difficult to max title, but it was never supposed to have conflict with pvp (or lack of it), it is a pve title after all. I suppose either they do something to make it more interesting, or they should make it into a pve only area. Something like a challenge mission, where you can fight with just one team of allies, against the other sides npc's.

You do know you can get 100% without Jade Quarry?
Anyway heres how i did it, find others in your guild that need it, you and them pm everyone on friends list and get a group of people just for exploring no killing
Problem solved

So instead Anet willing to fix problem from THEIR GAME, they need to tell players that find other guilds to willing to map it? Jade Quarry was not designed so and your suggestion is bad solution for problem.

Easier said then done JeniM...Ive been trying to get a group together for months with guild, aliance and friends and cant get but half a dozen people together. Most say when you get most everyone together yell and i will come, then log off. I agree, this needs to be fixed..been sitting at 98.7 for what seems like forever now now.

JeniM is right, it's very possible to get 100% without JQ.
Besides that, it took me and a guildie less than 20 minutes to get into JQ so he could explore (I already have LC).
I just had a good time killing some agressive enemy sins and rangers with my mesmer.
The best thing you can do (and I have done it several times now) is just go to JQ with someone you know and start chatting a in local chat.
That way others will know there are active players around.
I see a lot of people there that move in for a brief moment, see no activity and move along.
Furtermore, while the outpost might look empty, I am have a strong feeling that the outposts on Euro servers are linked. We were with 3 or 4 people in Eng 1 and suddenly were in JQ with full team.
So I do understand the problem but considering it's not impossible to get into JQ and it's possible to get the title without it, I don't see a reason to 'fix' a problem that is not really there.

Im at 94.8% and im sure i could boost my score a good 1/2% if i could just get into the quarry. Maybe opening it up as an explorable area would help cartographers.
The game itself needs to be changed, Ive never even tried it because ive simply never been able to get a team together. Yes, i could try guild and friends, but theyre busy and even then im not sure i could get enough together to fill both sides.

/signed. I have never seen enough people pop into jade quarry to maybe get a team together. Add a ton of creatures and make it PvE. But I would like to have the last little bit of the map.
Some of us dont have large guild that we could do this. Some of us have large guilds but still cant get enough to go. The game is broken in this area. Why not fix it?

Post on guru for jade quarry mapping groups. There's nothing that can be done about an old form of PvP that everyone abandoned and wasn't popular in the first place. Plus, if you're actually fighting jade quarry, you wouldn't be mapping. Unless you want to be a leecher...

I had to pay pugs 1k each on both sides to map it. People will do anything for easy fast gold.

You could also try to organize an event here on guru or in your guild forums. Also, to those under 99%, Jade Quarry won't get you to 100%. Have you tried the Eredon Terrace glitch? That's nets about .5%-.6%

I say they leave it as it is, but add a portal that lets you explore the area. I am at 99.6% with a couple tiny spots in the city that I have tried for weeks to map but cant get them. The JQ would get me my title.

Well i've seen some good feedback, and i just got my 100% today, with help from [GR] and some random people, doing the jade quarry. People have said some good constructive things, and i would like to go over them.
I know JQ/Fa don't count for the explorer title. But most people do it because they don't want to have to wall walk 3 extra hours just to get .5%. Jade quarry can fulfill a small percentage faster than wall walking can. Also, it IS part of the Canthan continent , why shouldent it count?
As for the arranged meetings here on guru, i don't really like these. It requires atleast 16 people to get together for a PVE title. This type of organization required for a generally easy title.
Guild Groups work here. We know that. But not everybody has a large friends list/ alliance.
As for paying pugs, i would rather save my money for other titles like skill hunter.

There's a Jade Quarry?
I'm kidding.
I doubt ArenaNet can do anything to make Jade Quarry more appealing, and if they did, you'd probably start seeing no one in Fort Aspenwood as a result. My suggestion is to grab a few friends or guildmates and set up a battle so you can explore. In fact, I think there's a thread or two on this forum that sets these little meetings up.

The problem it's not Jade Quarry.
It's fort aspenwood.
Luxons go only there.
There should be a way to make them go to both, like repeatable quests finixed by making both.

They should actually try to make it where the Jade Quarry is likeable.
It would appear both from here and in-game that the Jade Quarry absolutely sucks because it's boring and it gives low faction.
I haven't been able to play it myself because no one is ever there. And I also do not want to wait for 8 others to come and try to make them stay. Very dull I might tell you.
Just make it where people would actually want to play the Jade Quarry and this won't be a problem.
